HMR updates its image
After over a century of business, we have decided it is time to update our image, and so, amongst other changes we have developed a new company logo. We hope you like it and that it becomes synonymous with the H M Raitt & Sons Ltd.name, and standards of quality.
New management software
After years of developing our own spreadsheet solutions to the various peculiarities of the construction industry, we have decided to take the plunge and have purchased the latest Sage Construction Package to improve our internal management of client and subcontractor accounts. We assure all our clients and subcontractors that the transition should be seamless, and should provide an even more efficient service in the future.
Staff increase
Due to the demands on our current workforce, we have recently taken on a further 4 joiners and 1 additional site agent. We have benefitted from the secession of trading of one of our competitors T B Williamson, who have chosen to focus on their Waste Management business and have closed the doors on their contracting company - we have managed to secure the services of one of their experienced site joiners and site foremen, and have taken on another apprentice in our workshop, with a further cabinet maker due to be joining us in mid June.
New Groundworks Company Coming Soon
We are currently in negotiation with a possible bolt-on company specialising in smaller scale groundworks - we have come to realise that there is a distinct shortage in professional groundworks companies working at the smaller end of the market, who are able to provide a complete package - from creating or pricing from a bill of quantities, to carrying out all aspects of under building, hardscape and drainage works. We are hoping this Company will not only provide a useful service to ourselves and our clients, but also to other small builders and developers.
